Water Polo
Bella Vista Water Polo is ready for another exciting fall season! The boys varsity team is coming off an impressive 19-9 record, a 3rd-place finish in the 2025 Capital Valley Conference, and a trip to the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division II Playoffs. The girls varsity team also earned a Division II playoff berth, while the girls JV team dominated with a 12-1 record, showcasing the bright future of the program.
Whether you're a competitive swimmer, a multi-sport athlete, or completely new to water polo, both the boys and girls programs welcome new players of all experience levels. Our program is led by a dedicated and experienced coaching staff that is passionate about developing athletes both in and out of the pool. Many of our players started with little or no water polo experience and have grown into confident, competitive athletes through excellent coaching, supportive teammates, and a focus on skill development. Water polo is a fun, fast-paced sport that builds strength, endurance, teamwork, and leadership. Welcome to BV Boys Water Polo 2026. My name is Gerilyn Ramey, and I am excited to be back on the pool deck. I have been a teacher in San Juan Unified for more than 20 years, and currently teach first grade at Orangevale Open. I grew up in the district and am BV Alumni. I played on the first girls water polo team at BV, and coached water polo and swim for 4 years after graduating. I took a break from coaching while getting my credential and while my 4 kids were young. The small aquatics world and old friends brought me back to coaching boys polo 6 years ago and I am so glad and still having a great time!
As a coach, I encourage teamwork, positive communication, respect for self and others, self-advocacy, nutrition, and goal setting. I look forward to this season, and working with your boys. Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
